The New Year’s Eve Ball at the Mall
Press Release
Pleasanton, Calif. – Pleasanton North Rotary is proud to announce the first annual New Year’s Eve Ball at the Mall on December 31, 2010 from 9:00 p.m.-1:00 a.m. at Stoneridge Mall, One Stoneridge Mall Road, in Pleasanton, Calif. The fundraising gala will benefit children in our community.
The New Year’s Eve Ball at the Mall will feature live music, a piano bar, and a variety of festive activities. Refreshments will be available throughout the mall and several no-host bars will serve soft and alcoholic beverages. Champagne in commemorative glasses will be served at midnight.
“These are tough times for many people in our community and local nonprofit organizations and schools are feeling this, especially,” says Janet Lockhart, former Dublin Mayor and Dublin Partners in Education (DPIE) Executive Director. “Pleasanton North Rotary is presenting a wonderful fundraising event that will be both classy and affordable while raising much needed of funds for our children. We want everyone to have a fabulous New Year’s celebration close to home, and, best of all, to feel good about helping our treasured Tri-Valley non-profits and local schools.”
The event is being led by Pleasanton North Rotarians, Bill Wheeler, CEO of Black Tie Transportation and Mitch Sigman, Co-Founder of School of Imagination and Happy Talkers. “There is nothing more important than the education and health of our children. The New Years Eve Ball at the Mall will be a fun and festive opportunity to help our own children while celebrating New Years with friends and family. Stoneridge Mall, with a capacity for thousands and already beautifully decorated for the holidays, stepped up with enthusiasm when we approached them to host this benefit for the community. Dublin and Pleasanton Schools, both beneficiaries of the event, are in a race to sell more tickets and share more of the proceeds. Everyone wants to be involved. You can really feel the excitement!”
The New Year’s Eve Ball at the Mall is open to adults 21 years and older. Tickets are $75 per person. They are available for purchase online at http://theballatthemall.org or at the Information counter in the Stoneridge Mall main concourse area beginning October 1, 2010.
